Terrible trade for the Leafs.
Dumba has been nothing short of a disaster this season leading the Coyotes with a gaudy -13.
I would much rather keep Liljegren than have Dumba on Leafs blue line.
Bujgstad is a good target.
I advocated for Dubas to trade for him at last years trade deadline and this past June when Treliving was throwing around Leafs $20M in cap space to Klingberg, Reaves and Kampf.

@WB what is with you and +-? Johnny Hockey was a +60 a couple years ago and looks like a cap dump right now. Why do you café so much?

Yes, Dumba is a -13. Back to +/ - again as a way to evaluate? Have you not thought about this at all waterbuffalo?

Dermott is a -14, Keller a -19 and Schmaltz a -17. The best +/ - on the whole team is a +4 with JJ Moser.
5 on 5 Dumba is a -8 even though his zone starts are 60% in the D-zone.

Benoit has the worst +/ - on the Leafs D-core but I can't imagine anyone saying he is the worst defender. Brodie has the best +/ - by a huge margin. He is actually 11th League wide for defencemen in +/ -. Does that make him the 11th best defenceman in the League?
Liljegren, McCabe and Gio are all tied for 62nd in the entire League. Timmins is 76th then Rielly at 122nd.

So the Leafs have the 11th and 3 tied for 62nd best +/ - amongst defencemen in the entire League. Why so much talk to upgrade the D?

Matt Dumba is not that good of a player in my professional opinion.

Waynemarner. He's not great. He's also not horrible like some make him out to be. He's a solid #4. He could be better but some of his decisions are based on being too aggressive and that holds him back from being better imo.
