I see a few have thought the same thing I was thinking about trading Matthews to SJ for the 2nd overall+. If he doesn't want to be here, I could see San Jose wanting to make a splash to push for a playoff spot next season. Plus, Cali is much closer to Matthews hometown.

Nope. I can see it’s a rebuild aim. RLF is looking at what’s your semi lineup goal? The Wetsch non signing situation is an odd one. They drafted him specifically because he and Celebrini grew up playing together until Celebrini moved to San Jose. San Jose did offer him a contract in 2025.
