Im hearing a lot about theses names in trade talks, not sure what salary cap is but i'm sure Leafs will either eat salary or will have to take a bad contract back.

Shattenkirk is already like 27 and NO, the Leafs are not about to give up a pick - plus Kadri - Lupul you can have for free, take him off our hands.

So, yes Shattenkirk is a good "D" but not the right fit at his age. Interesting though.

U have to look at the likely suspects that have been mentioned in eumour mills for awhile with St.Louis. Normally we hear Berglund, Shattenkirk and Ott. Then their needs. Younger 1st-line centre, reliable option in goal and scoring from the wing. I don't think Lupul is an option for the Blues because of his contract. Blues still play a rough west coast game and Lupul and his injury history, I can't see him being a fit. Maybe PAP is a better option. I don't like it when teams re-acquire old players but Boyes is still a better option for the Blues than Lupul.
