5th Overall Pick 2016

Vancouver is looking to Draft a DMan if Dermott was being Drafted this Draft he would be along side the Top 3 Defencemen, add Kapanen plus the Late 1st Rounder it makes sense for the Canucks.

Leafs want either Tkachuk or ANylander this Trade Proposal will give them that wish.

Thoughts?

Gives them that wish by hugely over paying for him. Kapenen will take a few more years to develop his game but will be a huge part of the leafs youth movement as well as Dermott plus a late 1st. That's a gross overpayment for one prospect.

Hate the thought of letting Dermott go because I think he will develop into a very good all round "D".

It's a very good thought-out "Offer" - could work for both teams if proposed.

The problem is that they are needing help on the back end already so it seems a bit foolish giving up Dermott.

More quality if you're Drafting at #5 would be a FORWARD - personal preference for Tkachuk - "D" from about #8 or 9 down.

That's my two cents.

Overall a very well thought out proposal Pinball. my only issue is Dermott. if he turns out to be a stud we have egg on our face:(. so I would rather insert someone else and see what becomes of Dermott but I do like the scenario!. however I love this Dubois kid out of the Q. I think he's the real deal!
