Hammond is better than Enroth, and with such a weak crop of free agent goalies this year and Hammonds contract expiring in 2018 it makes sense for the leafs. Holland is benchwarming and we have better talent in the minors.


Jonas Enroth

Greg Campbell (cbj)

Brings some center depth into the organization. A good faceoff man, kills penalties, good veteran mentor. Exactly what this team means. Columbus shores up their goaltending depth with a cheap expiring contract where they have had bad injury problems in the past.

Hammond was placed on waivers earlier this week, if the leafs were interested in him they would have grabbed him then.

And why would you trade for him when he was available on waivers last week?
He had a good playoff run that's it. AHLer at best
