I know these deals are hard for these 2 teams but here we go

Mtl needs a 2nd line center I don't think hazel has enough offense for mont

Tor bozak 25% retained 3.1 mill this season and next

Tor juulson and 3rd.

25% of what retained? Keep juulson ands TO takes 1st 2017 and 2nd 2018 and a 3rd 2019.

Go Leafs!

The retaining money doesn't matter for leafs they could do 50%. This is type of trade I really like I don't know a thing about juulson but looking his stats he looks ok. I assume you guys think he is blue chip prospect fill me in how good is this kid.

Why would the Leafs retain salary?

Hazel? Who let her on the team?

How about: (no retained salary)

TOR: Bozak, Dermott, Hunwick, and a 4th (2018).

for

MTL: Sergachev, Philip Danault, Emelin(cap dump)

For TOR - they get a valid young RHD prospect for next year, a young center, and a vet D who can play the left side until Neilsen is ready.

Danault and Emelin could also be moved for picks at the deadline, but both are also serviceable and expendable players and also provide expn. draft qualification insurance.

This would give Toronto flexibility to trade others. And if they aren't picked by Vegas, they could still be traded for picks in the summer or added to a package deal.

For MTL - they get a proven 2nd line center at a good price for their cup run, a quality D prospect, a 4th as juice, and a vet Dman to help them on their cup run for this year. Mtl get back essentially what they gave up and add experience.

And if Bozak doesn't work for Mtl; he's easily trade-able, as is Polak before the deadline or just before the expn. draft where players to qualify might just be a hot commodity considering the penalty for not meeting requirements; is a 1st rounder (others have reported that it includes a 2nd rounder as well).
