Toronto trades. Jvr leivo and sosh and neilson

Calgary trades

Valimaki and dillion dube and Troy Brouwer

Leafs get a big dmen not a right dmen but going to be a stud. Dillion dube is fast as hell with good IQ and a point a game player in junior and Brouwer is a veteran and match contracts.

All puts leafs at 48 contracts since valimaki isn't signed yet. I don't think.

What does everyone think?

If T. O. can't afford to resign JVR we have to make something happen. They are not winning this year.

You haven't addressed the RHD. Instead of Brouwer as a dump, use Stone (RHD) @ 3.5M for 3 years. If he doesn't work out; he is instantly tradeable.

Alternatively you could ask for Valimaki, Andersson (RHD), and Dube; while eating half of JVR's cap hit. This leaves the Flames lineup intact and accomplishes the same. The only reason that Andersson isn't on the Flames is that they have 4 RHD's ahead of him. Just may be the best NHL defence on paper.
