I mean, replacing Holl with Bear has got to be considered an upgrade. The top 4 would be one of the best in the league.

Between Thornton, Perry, Spezza, Bogossian, Brodie, Muzzin, and Simmonds, the Leafs would have a lot of guys over 30 on the team now. Is that a good thing? Debatable.

There would be a lot of leadership with all those veterans. Unfortunately, that reminds me of the old saying: too many Chiefs, not enough Indians.

We need leaders, but we also need doers.

The main issue is with the Bear trade is that the Oilers have no cap space and cannot possibly take on another 5.5-6M unless they had another move in mind like trading RNH for picks/ prospects.
I would also agree that too many guys at the end of their career is not necessarily what we are looking for. Guys like Kilorn would be good targets, but we would need to move pieces first to make that happen and then we become even thinner in the bottom six if Dubas will not move one of the big 4.

RC-Apparently Piet didn't want the Blues anymore. That must sting when you basically guaranteed it.

Makes me laugh, kerfoot gets more points is younger and 600 K cheaper than bonino yet bonino got Kunin 4th for him 2nd 3rd

Kerfoot is age wise difference between the 2 and gets better points than both on avg. got to think he’s with that 2nd Nashville gave up.
