I like this actually. Perfect addition by subtraction. We add Getzlaf for a playoff run. Jones and Deslauriers become cheap bottom 6 depth moving forward. We get all that cap space for next year to re-sign and replace others. You removed the two main pieces that are not needed (Kerfoot, Nylander) . Might even be able to get a decent pick or prospect from Anaheim as well.

This is a sneaky good fit, especially since Anaheim has trouble scoring.

Given the term that's going Anaheim's way I expect Anaheim would want a 1st or a prospect too, but nothing that would put the deal in jeopardy.

The cap space this would create for next season would go MUCH FURTHER in a flat cap world. Term and salary going forward are HUGE bargains for teams accordingly. 👍.
