So lots of Subban rumors, so here is what I came up with

To TOR: D - PK. Subban (50% retained) + C - M. Mcleod

To NJD: F - A. Kerfoot + F - I. Mikheyev + 2023 4th

Salary in $5.5M
Salary out $5.2M

Subban can come in and try and earn a contract. McLeod is at best a 3rd line Centre at this point on either team.

Interesting. I am not a big Subban fan as I believe he can be a distraction on a team. He is too self oriented. If he can be a team player, Long and short term for the Leafs I like it. As I have said many times, I think McLeod could break out soon.

@T-buds. They protected him and signed him for 2 years on a very friendly deal. I think they see him as a potential 3C. Not sure Devils see him as expendable unfortunately.

I don't see what Subban adds to the team. He isn't what he used to be and the defence seems pretty solid to me.

Subban adds a better balance to the roster. Currently there is a left side dominance. Adding a good talent on the right side frees up the electability of reilly signing elsewhere for 9m.

Reilly/ sandin - brodie
Muzzin - subban
Dermott - holl

True that subban isn't what he used to be, but he is closer to what the team actually needs. I personally don't like the pompous jackass for his remarks he made when he was drafted by Montreal. But leafs really needed to get pietrangelo or hamailton, and the only way to keep reilly is to pay the 9m price tag.

Spezza in the middle of the 2021 version of the bash brothers simmonds and subban . All 3 start with S and have a double letter in their names.
