The leafs still have time to make this thing work but I think some big changes need to occur just my thoughts trade wise

So at first glance the marner deal seems very underwhelming but here me out not many teams can take marners full cap hit comtois seems like a type of guy that the leafs could use gritty hard working player that can score you 20-25 goals then we get what could be a top 10 pick this year and a defencemen prospect. Second trade is two guys on expiring deals I think we need a true top rhd put Brodie on his strong side or push holl down to third pairing, leafs then let a lot of these bottom feeders walk like mikhyev engvall hutch and start using some ahl guys instead of forcing the washed up players and then they have money to play with in the offseason fire dubas but I'd keep keefe for now

Marner is not getting the equivalent of 3 firsts. One of which is very likely to be top 5.
