You know what bugs me is that everyone complains that Dubas has no cap space.

It is sitting right in front of him and he won't part with it!

If he wants to compete in this years playoffs then pull the trigger on this one.

Toronto trades Nylander and Dermont
To
Anaheim for Radek Rakell and Maxine Comtois

Both players could be played with Tavares and then two great lines.

Kerfoot and Nylander are not making Tavares a better player.

Could re-sign Rakell for 2 or 3 more years at $4.25 and Comtois has term left.

No brainer but Dubas is a an ass.

Toronto could then trade Dermont
To
Los Angeles for Austin Wagner (he is the minors not playing and lightning it up, use on forth line)

Toronto could then trade Robertson, 2nd in 2023 and Duzack
To
San Jose sharks for Jacob Middleton

Toronto then trades Mrazek
To
New Jersey devils for Gilles

All problems solved.

If Muzzin can not return until playoffs then go get Lindholm or Giordano by trading Kerfoot, Knives, Holl and a 1st.

Not that difficult but Dubas is gun shy!

I'd also move Nylander but i think i would rather for Garland. signed long term and is similar to Bunting. would help JT. maybe have them ass Motte.

Don't get me wrong as I am not a big Nylander fan, but why do you think Rackell and Comtois will make Tavares better. If Tavares is worth $11m he should be able to drive any line regardless of who is on it.

Much rather trade Nylander to the Canucks for Garland and Motte, than trade him to the Ducks for Rakell and Comtois!
