An all in move

Tor: kerfoot sandin hirvonen 1st
Chi: Kane @ 50% retained

Kane has talked about his desire to play with Matthews last year when they were not able to go to the olympics note the leafs would still have to move out money going the other way is kerfoot for cap reasons still a useful player they get sandin who shows a lot of good potential just no room in Toronto hirvonen who has performed well at the international level especially recently and they get our 1st this year. is it too much or do I need to add?

I think that package would get it done. Just need to shed around 2.3M, if my math is right. Maybe throw in Engvall or make a separate move with him and Holl for a better RHD. Wishful thinking, but I still think we need help on defense. If we deal Sandin and one of our older LHD goes down, we're in serious trouble.

Offer seems reasonable, although Hawks may get better ones, but it depends on where Kane wants to play as well.
First, you need Kerfoot to waive or hope Chicago isn't on his no trade list. Then the cap issues. Leafs are already $1.5M over. Add the $1.75M Leafs must cover in this deal and they need to shed $3.25M approximately. You could send Simmonds and Clifford down, but still only half way there. Could move Holl, but then he needs to be replaced as he is the 6th D now, which probably leave a shortage still.

I agree cap is the issue here and may need a third team for most deals.
