I like Garland.
He is another Bunting style of player.
The problem as I see it is his $4.9 million dollar salary.
Leafs could offload Kerfoot ($3.5) but still would need to lose another $1.4 and there is really no one else off the roster that the Leafs could sacrifice.
Maybe Dryden Hunt ($762,000) and Wayne Simmons ($900,000)?
There is also the consideration that Garland would be Leafs 3rd line, right wing and $4.9 million is just too steep for a 3rd line player in todays salary cap era!
