Pretty even trade. As I always say I have high hopes for Dermott but it's a pretty good return. I do not believe Puljujarvi will ever be much though. Maybe a bottom 6.

By a narrow margin I wouldn't take the deal but a good prop.

Kappanen is a potential top 6 forward, and Dermott a potential top 4 defenseman. Just those two pieces merit more return, Puljujarvi wgy bother. Hollowell has huge upside and is offensively gifted, and he may also be a potential top 4 defenseman. Nurse of course is now a top 4 D man, based on Kappanens upside, gifted speed pretty close to McDavid, can be used on any line and on the PK. Potential 40 goal scorer like his dad. Kappanen for Nurse is a straight up trade, nothing else needed outside of maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Correction Sami Kapanens best season 27 goals and 69 points. He had many consecutive seasons of 20 plus goals, and that is what is expected of Kasperi.

This deal is so close. In my opinion if you take out hollowell for bouchard than its a for sure yes.

Great proposal. all 6 players have been talked about but i do feel getting nurse a sau guy of dubas and getting dermott back playing the backend for mcdavid may just be something looked at closely here. Kapanen is miles ahead of puljujarvi considering the world jr gold they played together it seemed the opposite would happen. funny how things happen once u hit the nhl. this is why you can't truely judge a prospect until they are past their entry level contracts. they could suck at first then break out unexpectedly. or they could look amazing first year then sophmore slump and never recover. or they could always just suck or they could just be a hit from the get go. the moral of this point is you can't just suggest a prospect is a future top 6 guy based on his jr stats or 1 year of pro hockey. they may look good. but 3 years of nhl hockey with consistant better stats year after year is worth more than a maybe guy every day of the week. that's why prospects are called prospects.

Again with the childish name calling and lack of knowledge of other teams. Hollowell lead the OHL in points as a defenseman last year. He’s an outstanding prospect that is being compared to a young Jared Spurgeon. Dermott we have already covered. An already nhl level player with top 4 potential himself. Calling those guys sh*t shows a complete lack of respect. Very childish. Bouchard has done nothing in the nhl. Puljujarvi just had double hip surgery. Nurse for Kappy so the basis of the trade, with the other pairs thrown in as bookends to help satisfy a need for both teams without significantly impacting either teams nhl roster beyond Nurse and Kapanen.

You’re very childish RedWing. Anyone can come on here and hurl insults. I’ve yet to see you make a single statement that would make me think you have any real knowledge of the game. I’ve never once witnessed you make even an single insightful comment or reveal any knowledge beyond what you get from the headlines or off rumours forums.

First of all you are a homer when it comes to the leafs. Every leafs player prospect is the goat and everyone else's habe done nothing. Dermot sucked on a stacked team, bouchard at 19 had 16g 37a 53pts in the oil and was +28. He is a top pairing projected big rhd the oilers have been waiting for. Hollowel is a year older small shattenkirk like Dman. Will never be a #1. Kappy is the only thing of value and not worth nurse let alone bouchard. Pool party isn't much. So to sum up kappy isn't worth nurse and 1 crap defender and a small Dman do not equal bouchard
But hey if you disagree feel free to post it on main board.

Bouchard had good stats but also on a pretty stacked london knights team. Dermott yes played on a stacked erie otters team with strome, mcdavid, debrincet ect and hollowell also had a stacked sau team. All 3 dmen are very offensive minded and of the 3 i agree bouchard probably will end up being the best if edmonton gets their crap together.

Only time will truely tell who the stud and duds are of the 3.

You seem to have the same admiration for the st. louis blues prospects so why even call out people here for that. If you don't have passion for every player on your teams organisation then why be a fan.

Again you used an offensive word and implied something offensive to most people so again i ask why are you still allowed on this site?

Homerism from the urban dictionary does mean exactly what you said it meant. however, you need to use it correctly. you need to actually spell it as homerism in the sentence for it to mean what you meant it to mean.

Homer from the same urban dictionary means american idiot. So you called leafsgm an american idiot by how you put it.

Learn how to use words properly before posting them. Yes, when on laptops or phones sometimes you spell wrong and what not. However, misusing words thinking you are clever gets more important people in higher importance jobs fired.
