Somehow we find a way to make cap work

We do not have to give up lillegren, kapanen or Johnsson in my opinion

Given what Trouba was traded for, I would tend to agree with that assessment. If we could get Risto for that price and Buffalo was willing to trade him to a divisional rival, then Leafs should take the chance. His offensive capabilities are obvious. And on a better team like the Leafs, it’s entirely possible that his lack of defense wouldn’t be as big an issue. Let’s face it, he’s a great big RHD version of Gardiner that likes to hit. Whatever misgivings May be about his play are no worse than Gardiner and he is cheaper cap hit.

Honestly at this point the leafs don’t need to add anything see what they have and then make some moves the trick is what they will do without Hyman and dermott and potentially marner.

I think ristolainen has more value than what some people thinks he has

He may not be worth the likes of kapanen, johnsson or liljegren but buffalo will probably for 1 of those 3.

He may also be worth more than bracco and second

Its possible he is worth somewhere in the middle of that.

I know who scott perunovich is but who is machecrin?

I like Scott Perunovich. Very offense first dman. Very quick, good hands but doesn't have a great sense of his surroundings when he is in the defensive end. Tends to lose his player but his speed gets him back to where he needs to be quickly.
St. louis has until 2022 to sign him so hopefully, unlike the leafs and dakota joshua, they will get him signed. If not a lot of teams may be knocking on his agents door to take a chance on him.

If perunivich is a guy used for st. louis to get sandin i wouldn't complain. I just think more would have to be offered on st. louis end.

I know this was a slight joke, but hey i don't mind writing about prospects. it takes a few seconds and makes others aware of other players outside of leaf prospects so thank you for the mention.

Scott perunovich is a offence first defenceman. He skates well and moves the puck well but makes bad defensive decission. His speed covers those lapses in college but may hurt once he gets to the ahl. He has until 2022-23 to sign or he becomes another dakota joshuaId if a deal between him and st. louis can't be made. i'd still take a chance on him if the deal was right

Machecrin i have no clue who that is

If you add a known prospect with perunovich than a deal for sandin in plausible.
