This is a tough one. Matthews is a stud and seguin is just under studdness. Klingberg is better than Liljegren but liljegren is younger. i'd do it but with great discomfort

second deal I think is good as Zucker at this point is better than both players. again, with discomfort i'd do this deal

good overall suggestions.

The following year, you could actually extend Barrie 7 x 7 and Have Dermott 3 x 3 . The increase of salary cap for 2020/ 21 to $84.5 MM would allow you have a solid 4 in defensemen for a number of years.

Yeah I’m not sure if I could deal Matthews I think he’s primed for an amazing season. He’s been hurt and he makes scoring 40 goals look easy.

That Minnesota deal is a tough pill to swallow. Especially knowing zucker almost got traded for Frolik. Makes me think he is available for less than what is on offer here. Zucker has good possession numbers and is a great goal scorer. He would definitely be a contributor to the offense. Not sure how his defense holds up. But as “they” say, whoever “they” are, the best defense is a good offense. If Leafs can keep the other team in their own end with a constant barrage of shots from guys like Zucker, Tavares, Seguin/ Matthews, etc, then we should theoretically be ok. As long as we outscore the opposition every night we win.

Remember the Oilers, not the present version.

The differnce the top four defensemen for the Leafs will be better than Coffey and his group.

Barrie, Klingberg, Reilly and Dermott.

Seguin, Tavares, Marner, Zucker, Nylander, Johnsson and Kerfoot, are a good base.

I think Zucker can be aquired cheaper but all in all how can the leafs afford Klingberg, Seguin and Zucker without losing Marner or Nylander?

I wouldn’t trade kapanen for zucker and then you give up Hyman as well?
And once again Dallas says no as Matthews is so very injury prone.

Dont want to criticize but if you add the outs, the total is $16.95 MM. The difference is 2.57 MM, since Matthews is $11.634 for Matthews.

As I stated that Marner will take $2.5 MM less than $11mm at $8.5 MM.

Leafs keep Ceci for time being and Leafs come in at $81.4 MM FOR 2019/ 20.

A $ 700 k Defenseman, till Dermott comes off the LTIR to play with CECI.

CECI plays out the year or is traded for prospect + draft pick.

Leafs want to sign one of Muzzin or Barrie. My choice is Barrie for $7 MM at 7 years, as long as Dubas does not wait forever.

Ending up in 2020/ 21 after the expansion draft with the following defensemen. Reilly, Klingberg, Dermott and Barrie.

We gift you Jordan Greenway as part of the Hyman Deal to play with Tavaras instead of Moore . Whoever is better Mikheyev or Greenways receives the paying time. Anyone who makes $700 K replays in the other positions.

I don't see Marner taking 2.5 less though and I'm pretty sure Barrie already said he wants 8.
