Stl: tarsenko parayko thomas kyrou 2020 1st.
Thought process behind this is redwing turns this trade down because he underestimates leaf trade value and over sells stl trade value.
Break down - reilly>> parayko ceci=kyrou tarasekno > kapanen. Thomas and a first make up the difference. But i'm calling it now he says parayko is reilly's equal.

Lol I don't think even redwing says Reilly and Parayko are equals but he may prove me wrong.
I don't see either team doing this deal. Just doesn't seem helpful for either one.

Torontos need for a RHD has changed since getting Barrie. If toronto deals reilly and with dermott out for a while now their need would shift to getting a LHD.
Leafs with this deal now add 1.5 to their cap number so theyd only have 7.5 million to sign marner.
Tarasenko is a stud but plays RW so nylander drops to 3rd line which becomes a waste of his talents.
Thomas is a top 6 guy possibly playing 2C on st. louis but is slated to play 3C at he moment. With this trade he definetly only plays 3C with toronto and won't hit top 6 minutes on them for a while which is a waste.
Kyrou with this trade now battles bracco for top line minutes on the marlies or 8 minutes a night on the leafs. that's another waste.
Talent wise this deal is a thinker. Actually st. louis gives up more talent but due to the players never being given the chance to reach their potencial and the significant downgrade it causes on the LD i'd have to say dubas passes. although it would be a real tough decision.

SO I will say at this point reilly is the better dman. Not hard after the season he put up. As for the rest ceci is a cap dump. Thomas and kyrou are both better than kappy was at their current age and Tarsenko is Tarasenko. This is completely onesided and would never happen. Blues would rather keep their cup team together then do this monstrosity of a trade. The laughable part was saying that kyrou was = to ceci.

I only disagree with one statement made here
Kyrou is not better than Kapanen was when Kapanen played his age 20 year
Kapanen is faster more defensive and put up a point a game in the AHL his age 20 year. Kyrou put up 43 points in 47 games.
Kyrou has to be on the Blues mid season roster this season to just equal what Kapanen did his age 21 year. Then Kyrou has to play full time for the Blues in 2020-21 his age 22 season and put up at least 20g 23a and learn how to play the defensive side of the game
Kapanen is only 2 years older than Kyrou. If Kyrou isn't on the Blues roster fulltime by next season he starts looking like a bust. i'd say Kyrou and Bracco are the comparables in this situation.

Kyrou won the ahl speed contest. So no he is not slower than kappy lol. You should take the time to know they player you sheet on.
After going over the numbers closer it appears that both players have similar numbers at the given ages. SO I guess this will be the make or break for both players. Except that Kyrou is on an ELC and Kappy makes like 3. So in that aspect got to give kyrou the upper hand.

How are you going to say kyrou looks like a bust when kappenan didn't even play full time for leafs till he was 22 and only put up 44 points. So kyrou has 2 years. He made the team out of camp last year and then was put down because they didn't feel he was ready yet. LOL I love the bs that comes from you. can't wait to play you guys this year.

I give you. RedWing is right. All the Blues players are the best in their league. Every other team sucks. Blues are the champions and Leafs RW first round losers. Leafs can’t ever make a trade with Blues because even the fourth line players are better than our top line guys. Simple as that.

I love looking up stats and love scouting players. If redwing1 feels he can counter with false stats then that's fine. I mean he didn't even know Kapanens real age while arguing.
fact is Kapanen made pittsburgh out of camp when he was 19 but they sent him to scraton-wilkes barre. He then got dealt to toronto that season. as a 20 year old he made the leafs out of camp but they wanted to send him down and it was a good call. A point a game. Then as a 21 year old he was hurt during camp so got sent down to recover. By christmas or so he was up and played half a year. Last year at age 22 he made the leafs but didn't qualify as a rookie but it was his first full year.
Kapanen is faster than Kyrou. all scouts know this. Kyrou is fast but not elite fast. Kapanen is elite fast with or without the puck.
to sum it up Kapanen has made it and got a contract due to this.
if kyrou makes it on the team in the next 2 season and gets more than 20 goals and 23 assists then ill make the comparisons.
as i said bracco and kyrou are a closer comparison right now.

You really aren't comprehending this discussion are you redwing1.
So many players come and go as prospects. Until they make it they can't be compared to the high extent as a player who has made it.
If kyrou doesn't play full time by next year then people start to think he is a bust. We aren't at that time yet. I didn't call him a bust. You need to start reading the whole item written then understand it before you comment.
Bracco and kyrou seem to be having similar careers at this stage in their development.

Hey buddy Jordan kyrou was the second fastest skater in atl and ranks 4th in the history of the ago at 13.52. The record was broken last year by Greco who posted a 13.251. Which is faster than mcdavid time of 13.378. Barzal and eichl are slower than kyrou. So once again you don't know what you are talking about. Kyrou also slipped at one point. So if he is almost as fast as mcdavid with slipping then yrs he has elite speed. Seriously know the player you are talking smack on.

a once off speed skating contest doesn't actually who has fast game speed.
Kapanen is top 5 in league and kyrou is not yet.
I know kyrou better than you do. I scouted him on 7 differant occasions at 3 differant levels. He is quick but not elite quick.
If you beat usane bolt once does that mean you are faster than him on average?

AHL 2 years ago started letting players have a skating start before the time started. New records were broken as almost a half a second is saved by doing so thus making it a much more exciting contest.
McDavid did his recored from a stand still start.
If youve ever done one of these contests youd know its more fun having a skating start much like when you are in a relay race. Fans seemed to enjoy it more too so ahl kept it this way.
Kyrou game speed is a touch slower than the mcdavids, pettersons and kapanens. He is up there with barzal but barzal has way more agility and his edges are insane. Barzal like marner looks faster than he is due to those edges. Eichel has always been considered elite skating for his size but not elite compared to smaller guys. He is amazing for his size but his shot is what most scouts drool over. Next youll tell me kyrou is faster than pavel bure since for some reason you drool over st. louis prospects. i simply said kyrou hasn't made it yet. He has done what kapanen had done at same age in their development. Problem is kyrou still has to make the team full time. If he doesn't by next year he starts being considered a bust. Kapanen made it by 22 put up good enough numbers therefor he isn't and can't be a bust
If kyrou or thomas both become a point a game or better nhlers before their elc contracts are up than great for them. Too bad by then a contract for guys like that in 2 years will be 12 million plus. that will suck for you then. then youll be trying to deal them for stud dmen or top end prospects and the debates will continue. so on and so on.

37 1 kid 14 I have full custody. I do it security and I still play hockey. Shaft blade combo of choice is Easton ultra light with pp77 caoffy blade or all wood Sherwood pp77 Paul Coffey blade. I can play all 4 position goalie center d forward. And fyi I scored on my own goalie tues night. Which is a Dman every year.
My slap shot high speed is 91. My wrist shot isn't great. My back g And is good. Worst part of my game. I can't keep up with the kids any more. Still skate well had a chick power skater teach me. My biggest asset is passing. Worst aspect stick handling. Most goals in a game 5 last one should not have counted puck was in goalies glove I tapped the glove went in. Oh and I love the feeling after a game.
