redwing1.this deal doesn't involve aniheim. also, johnsson is a top 6 player who last year mostly on 3rd line and in his first full season had a very successful season. playing on top unit PP and in the top 6 i'm pretty sure he will get more.

Bracco on a bad team is a top 9 player but on Philly unfortunetly only becomes 4th line or minor leaguer as Philly has forward depth

The Leafs defence isn't a weakness so getting Sanheim only really pushes Sandin out or places Sanheim on bottom pairing. Not worth it as Johnsson is primed to have a big breakout year.

I think Leafs would pass but it was a good proposal.

Idk if you’re just a tad slow or what it is but Johnsson plays in our top 6 which is one of the best offensive teams in the league Bracco is a top prospect but the leafs don’t have a spot for him and his style of play Sanheim is a good player and I think the flyers would trade him now with all the dmen the brought in this off season.

So by your omission. Johnson is a bottom 6 player and so is bracco maybe. Honestly bracco could be the next great player or a bust like
Ty rattie. Who knows. But I guarantee you are not getting sanheim for those pieces.

Adding Sanheim makes us stronger Ceci is not a top rhd yes Sandin get pushed out this year but next year he’s comes to the leafs full time also Sanheim has the extra year and with everyone else on our blue line needing a new deal it helps us now and next year.

leafs 1994. so a 40 point player and a ahl prospect who could or could not have an impact on a team for a top 4 defender in sanheim. Just don't see it happening.

I agree Sanheim is better than Ceci but I don't know if Sanheim makes up a big enough differance in the D upgrade to losing Johnsson

Matthews and Nylander would have to really gel with another unproven player to make this deal really work out. Is there anyone on the Leafs now who could play that left side with Matthews and Nylander?

If you have up kappy instead of Johnson I would all for it. Going to lose someone next year and losing a LW like Johnson would hurt.

Idk kappy is younger with more upside Korshkov looks like he’s willing to fight for that spot maybe Moore honestly I think the left winger on that line of Matthews and Nylander is just along for the ride also Sanheim is pretty young still so I think he could be a long term guy and redwings1 yes Johnsson only had 44 points but go look at the flyer point totals of their wingers last year vorachek and Giroux were the only forward to top 50+ Johnsson would have quite a bit of value to the flyers.

Very good points. that mikahalev, or whatever the spelling is, looks pretty good. korchkov looks pretty good and moore looks pretty good. guess if sanheim really upgrades the D maybe just maybe losing johnsson won't hurt that much. hyman will be back anyways so let's give it a go.

Do not recommend trading from LW at all right now. Another injury to either Hyman or Johnsson and we are going to be running with a couple rookies in our top six playing with the big four.

Sanheim is a good player, but is not a true 1RHD. He’s a 2RHD. Johnsson has higher rating than Kapanen right now, who also is more expendable as a RW. If, for some strange reason, Leafs decided they absolutely needed Sanheim, then Kapanen would be the guy to go, not Johnsson.

Philly has so much good defense, and some extremely good RHD prospects at that, I can imagine Sanheim being traded. But I don’t think Leafs would be a player on him. We have a solid enough defense right now that unless we are dumping Ceci in the deal too somehow, it doesn’t make sense.

Sidenote Philly has shown some interest in Kappy so getting them to bite on him instead of Johnson probably isn't very hard.
