Ana. trades Max Jones

This frees up some space for Dubas and addresses the LW imbalance on the team. It also addresses the toughness issue up front - play this guy with Matthews and this line will dominate.

Kapanen is worth more than max jones let alone adding in bracco

so i guess if you do one bad play as a leaf player you're value goes way down

that means the 7 errors reilly has made must mean he is worth a 7th rounder by now.

Max Jones? Lol. I think Moore for Jones is a little more realistic. Jones has good size, but not much else to go along with it. He is still young, but starting to creep up there for a forward prospect. It would take Leafs a couple years at least to bring him up to a player of Kapanen’s level. That is, if he ever reaches it.

This trade makes us weaker. Regardless of whether Jones develops into a middle six player capable of the same totals as Kapanen, it will still take him a couple years to reach that level. And in the meantime, we definitely have a weaker team with the loss of Kapanen, plus lose our best forward prospect player to boot. I really hope Leafs don’t do anything rash like this.

Not sure I follow. Kappy hit 44 pts last year playing with tremendous talent. He is 23 and so far hasn't shown much this year. It's still early but at this point max Jones is a lefty younger. I would say take the cap space.

So the comment "He is 23 and so far hasn't shown much this year" is far fetched, its 3 games in. I get that you followed it up by saying its early, so why even post it.

Kapanan has far greater value than Jones, I mean if you wanted to flip Kapanen for Jones it will look more like this:

To TOR: F - M. Jones + 2020 2nd round pick

To ANA: F - K. Kapanen.

All I am saying Is if he is going to be relocated to the third line trade him. Bring in max Jones a more physical player get a pick and let bracco maybe get a. Shot save some cap space.
