Just looked at this years start to the season and compared both players. Parayko is off to one of the worst advanced stat statistics ever by a top 4 D I've ever seen. Ceci is actually above average and on paper looks like a top 4 dman. can't say parayko is on paper looking so bad because of his partner because he plays for the defending champions. So why such a horrible start? Is he slowing down like i predicted earlier in the summer? Is it just 6 games in so who cares? Probably somewhere in the middle you can find the truth but either way look up both players advanced stats and your eyes will be shocked..

Leafs add bracco to cover the extra years of control parayko has

This deal is solely based on advanced stats for this year and nothing more..just opening some eyes

In fact maybe ceci is a better option now that i see this eye opener..

Is it a nice trade? I mean due to fact i'm only basing this on this years advancd stats i'm starting to think leafs are getting ripped off.

Two points in six games. That’s a solid 13 points in an 82 game schedule. All assists, as he still hasn’t scored a goal yet. His CF is pretty bad. But still early. He has lots of time to improve that. One or two good games should have him closer to fifty than forty again. Not hitting as much as we’re used to seeing him do. But he’s also playing over 23:00 minutes a night. That’s very impressive. Jury is still out, but Parayko is definitely off to a slow start. It’s still way too early to say he’s having a bad year. Same situation as Kapanen right now. It’s a wait and see if we can get these guys turned around and playing the way they should be.
