Leafs trade Kapanen liljegren

Leafsgm whatever it take I want Manson. Leafs now have size up front and they need to get korshkov promoted to leafs. Manson is under control 2 more seasons after this one. korshkov and Bracco are both ready to be promoted. Leafs have pieces up front to move.

I really like this trade and do not believe you have to include Lillegren. Kappanen for Manson sounds like a fair trade. If the Ducks want a Dman back, they can have Holl or Marincin. I would not let Lillegren go yet. Give him some time to develop before giving up on him.
If they want Lillegren I'd like Ritchie included. That's the only way I'd include Lilly. I think Ritchie could be a 20 goal scorer on the Leafs.

If we can get Manson for Kapanen, I say go for it. He’s got 19 hits already, which puts him on pace for almost 200 exactly. He plays over 20 minutes a night. His Corsi could use a boost. Maybe playing on a better possession team like the leafs will see an improvement. He’s only 28, which is still early in his prime as defensemen tend to peak later than forwards. So we would be getting him in his best years too. The main thing I dislike about this deal is that Manson is UFA in three years. Kapanen his RFA. So I would exclude Liljegren just on that reason alone. Anaheim will get many more years out of Kapanen than we get with Manson.

Ritchie a 20 goal scorer. At $1.5M that’s a steal.
