Leafs trade Timashov, Ceci, 2nd
Jersey trades Simmonds, Vatanen

Jersey would have to retain to make the salaries work. For that they get a 2nd instead of a 4th. Jersey gets rid of two dumps while bringing in one back and a couple futures. Leafs get a couple more overpriced ineffective duds to add to their lineup.

Simmonds and Vatanen are both UFA and underperforming. It’s basically two cap dumps for one of ours and a pick.

This rumor is really making its rounds right now. its in the war room right now. forget when the freeze is but a change is going to happen with a big bang.

Ceci, timashev, 1-2 low level prospects and a 2nd this year and next year for 40% retaining on both simmonds and vatanen.

Jersey really wants those 2nd since both years they don't yave them. tick tock.

No chance in hell Kapanen is sent back as well for those two. They both look like garbage right now.

I am honestly shocked by this rumour. Does this mean Dubas finally realized having a big hulking angry guy in front of the net cross checking people and fighting someone is useful?

From what if read the source of the rumour isn't credible and I have a very hard time seeing the devil's trade vatanen and Simmonds for a dump and a fourth liner and a pick that isn't a first. They can hold out to the deadline retain money on both and get a first for each most likely.

I finally read the article everyone is talking about. It’s by that Shugs McPhee guy or whatever his name is. I’m not sure how reliable this guy is. Guess we wait and see. Maybe he knows something we don’t.
