Wow mph. You really love Jones eh. It’s almost an unhealthy obsession like a teenage girl has with Justin Bieber. Do you have an autographed picture of Jones or something? I guess you think that if you post enough props on here Dubas will actually take your advice and make the trade. There’s several hundred defensemen in the nhl and thousands more in the minors, junior, and overseas you can talk about. Jones has been floated on here so much in every scenario possible to the point it’s not even worth talking about him anymore.

Moneytalks I get it you think that #1rhd possibly top 15 dmen in the league should be traded to the leafs for nothing. Well Sorry but that sheet just doesn't happen. I listed the why from a non bias side. Please feel free to analyze what I wrote and tell me why you think differently.

He only has 2 years left on his deal not 5, defenceman don't seem to to go for as much as they used too, Seth Jones is a good D but he isn't a hall of fame guy, his team looks like poo and may just want younger cats to replace the older ones on contracts that won't last through a rebuild, Seth Jones isn't Brent Burns in his prime he isn't worth as much as you think redwing, personal thought but I'm sure teams looked at that Karlson trade and signing and think "thank God that wasn't me" seeing how he is performing right now. Could be personal on that last point but Jones isn't a Norris winner, he finished 9th in voting last year.

I like Jones but man you seem to think every deal the leafs should over pay.

Brent burns is a rubbish defenceman. He gets points. That is not what your team needs you need a solid defender that gets 40-50pts. You say that dmen don't go for what they use to show me one young dman of his caliber that has been moved. You can't because they don't.

Its not that I think you should over pay its that you don't realize what you are trying to obtain. Jones is right here with Petro and 25 years old. That is the price. You say its overpayment. but really its not.

He was not top 10 15 in league he was 20 and traded for a young 1c. Seriously tell me a Dman that proved what he has at his age now that hot traded for a bunch of pieces you cant.

Jones is not there with Petro. Petro has always been a better player. I don't think a defensive D is what we need though. Hainsey in Keefe system would look lost. Keefe and Dubas created this positionleds hockey team where every defenceman is expected to pinch and every forward take his place when he does. Muzzin hasn't looked the same this year since Keefe took over because a true D doesn't fit this system. A guy like Barrie loves it because he can push the attack all he wants and screw the goalie. If anything, Dubas squires another puck mover.
