As with any proposal, like the Kane proposal it may take a little more or a little less to get said player. Leafs have a short window to win a Cup, they have the assets to go from Cup contender to Cup favourite.

The only part of this trade that makes sense to me is for Georgiev. Leafs need to address there def with TOP 4 defensive dman, and back up goalie. it makes little sense to me to trade forwards for forwards and go after a one dimensional dman like Burns. Dillon would make more sense.

Unless Ceci is moving out and even then, I don't see the defence as an issue right now. Seems like a knee jerk reaction when talking about the leafs. "Hey what's up with the leafs? "
