K Riley and Muzzin are both gone for a long time. Like almost until playoffs. So considering our defence is terrible right now I can't see us winning that much. Screw our stacked offense, we're going to score a lot with our top guys and our depth is insane so it's time to make some moves.

I believe Edmonton does this because even though they loose a good defender we give them an overpayment and we give them players that can score. The first deal is a hockey type deal.

Sandin and Liljegren getting called up first makes more sense to me now than ever. Give Lily a shot first before trading him. Don’t look at this as a set back. Look at it as an opportunity. We all might finally get to see what we have all been hoping for.

I am not a fan of martinez. But I believe he is the answer. He is clearly on the block and Dubas already took Muzzin. Why not get his partner?

Pesce won't be moved. Canes are looking good. It was faulk or Pesce and fualk is gone now. Won't happen we all need to give up that dream.

Be close in cap but in the nurse deal I’d retain the picks and Liljegren and trade Barrie.

I wouldn’t want Yamamoto coming back. I don’t care how much skill he has and the whole new nhl size doesn’t matter line. Size does matter still, and Yamamoto doesn’t have nearly enough to be of interest to us.

You will love Barrie now. Reilly is out. Only PP D is Barrie. Bring in a power play defenceman for Barrie or he can't be moved.

Pesce is way overrated on this site. He’s not that great a player. I don’t know how some of you guys are getting your valuations. Not from precedents. Johnsson and a 1st is a massive overpayment from what I’ve seen much better defensemen get traded for recently. Pesce is a 2RHD. That’s it. He’s not even what I would call a great 2RHD. He’s an average 2RHD. His contract is decent and represents what he is worth. Carolina is so stacked in defensemen that they can still trade Pesce and have Hamilton, Slavin, Gardiner, TVR, Fleury, Bean on the team. If we give them a defenseman back (Ceci or Dermott let’s say) that’s still a better defense than most teams in the nhl.

I like Pesce. Well rounded player. Not the best either offensively or defensively though. Last year was a standout year for him, and I have a hard time seeing him reproduce that this year, and even then he still didn’t break 30 points. He is not, and never will be, a true 1RHD. He’s not worth a good roster player like Johnsson or Kapanen plus a 1st, plus an A-prospect like some contributors to this site seem to think. A package like that would easily land you a true stud 1RHD.
