No point if doing the Dermott trade, his young, controllable, good and isn’t near his ceiling yet. That Dillon move I like if the Leags can’t get a top 4 dman that has some term.

If the Leafs want to sign Muzzin for next few years and Sandin plays full time next year, We don't need dermott on the left side of defence . will have Rielly, Muzzin, Sandin.

Don't think you want term. You want to bring in Sandin and Liljigren along with Reilly, Dermott and Holl. Only need one more guy and have enough cap space to resign Muzzin or Barrie or go after a ufa.

I think we have a chance this year with the offence and goalie we have.
Its all about winning the cup .
Take a look at Boston how many changes they have made and always contending. Bring in the right pieces to contend for a cup . NOW.

Is Muzzin really that much better than Dermott though? Especially in five years? I would rather keep Dermott as well. Our defense is good enough now. It could be better, sure. But it’s good enough. And that’s what counts.

So you think this defence is good enough to go 4 rounds in the playoffs and win the cup? In 5 years or less we will not have the forwards we have now . Dermott is good but is he a shut down defender or a point getter offence type defender . Go back and look at the teams that went to cup finals Defenecmen they had . compare to what we have . Forwards we are there for a cup run .
