Don't think you would be getting Strome for this price. Connor Murphy is a stud. I don't mean a stud defenseman. I just mean a stud in general. If he can't play good hockey, maybe we can get him on a poster in his undies and sell tickets that way.

First, have you noticed this board has dried up.
Second, the Leafs are magically looking for a RHD and stay under the cap. The cap is being challenged as there is no more public events to June 30, 2020.
Yet, Leafs are pursuing a Russian Winger.
That is why imho, the Leafs are comfortable trading a Johnsson &/ or Kapanen + Dermott who has become redundant as a LHD.
Manson, Dumba, Murphy, Ristolainen, Hamilton or sign Gudas or Hainsey as a free agent.
The Leafs require the right partner for Reilly. The Leafs require the RHD to be there for a period of time of at least two years.
My preference is Ristolainen or his antithesis the signing of Gudas. Which would you prefer to be Reilly's right hand partner?

I like risto I think he can play at a high level and has the size gudas is a good one too he’s a vet and brings a nasty playing style reminds me of a polak only better.

Would prefer Gudas to Risto. Risto is another offensive D (Dubas will be happy) but doesn't help Reilly.

Yes. The board dries up every year after the trade deadline. This year is extra worse though because the season is cancelled too. So there is really almost nothing hockey to talk about.
I wasn't cutting up your prop or anything. I just think that Nylander would be the guy sent over, not Strome. And there is nothing wrong with Murphy. He's a cheap RHD that could fill a void for a year or two.
I think Chicago would be tempted by this offer. It's a pretty even hockey trade. Johnsson is probably an improvement over Nylander, and Dermott is probably an improvement over Murphy, so if anything, Chicago might add a mid-late pick. Hard to say. If Leafs initiate discussion though, then I would think the trade goes through as is.
