Leafs trade Nylander
Chicago trades Dach, Boqvist

A but risky because Dach didn't do well his rookie year. Boqvist was in his rookie year too, but didn't look too bad. Especially for a 19 year old playing sheltered minutes. But if these guys can reach their potential, Leafs win this one big time long term. High risk/ high reward style of trade for sure. It might even be a one step back, two steps forward type deal.

Chicago fired the president. Next up is the GM. Desperate GM's do desperate things. I can easily see Bowman selling off his premium prospects to secure guys for the immediate.

No. Chicago doesn't do this. Each for Nylander strait up is more fair I think.

I don't think I would do this right now. Only so many contention years left. It is probably an even trade though.

I wouldn't do Dach for Nylander for straight up. No chance. I don't even think Dubas does this except for the unloading of salary might interest him.

Notice I corrected myself after and said Each. Don't know if I hit the wrong key or auto correct kicked in. I completely agree Nylander for Bovquist would be a fleecing for tor. Would never do that deal. But Dach is a little better and he has the potetiatil to be the next Toews. I would take the chance, maybe a slight add from Chi.

Potential to be towed is very different than a top line elite winger currently. If this was a rebuild situation then yeah, take dach and a pick. But it isn't.
