Leafs get: Manson (50% retained)
Ducks get: Liligeren, 4th

Manson is probably the player we like to trade for the most on this site. It makes perfect sense. Some people try to say that Manson has some major off years, on par with Holl this year points wise. But He's great defencevly, and He might come back to getting 40 points, He is still young. And at 2 mil, nothing can go wrong. Unless Lily becomes a norris winner. If you want, Make it Dermott. That will save Cap anyway.

Manson didn't have any "off" years. He had one "on" year that is looking more and more like an anomaly rather than a breakout.

Guys like Manson are a dime a dozen. Luke Schenn's is UFA again. If we wanted a big body heavy hitter stay at home defensive defenseman, Schenn's is just as good.

@LeafsGm I agree Manson is not a big fix if he costs alot. I do think though, the ducks value Manson far more than most other would so it would have to be an overpay to get him.

I agree with LeafsGM, Manson only had one year where he was close to 40 points, all others have been so called disappointments.

That’s not the case, he is a 20 point guy at most, and is one of the most overrated players in the league. The idea that Anaheim could get a top 6 forward for him is absolutely ridiculous, especially when you compare his contract to his stats.

Those who want to trade for him have obviously no idea what they are talking about as he is basically a depth defenceman at this point. Holl is way better.

Again the most leaf it doesn't strike me as his value per we based on comparables. It's much the same as Wilson or Kassian. They mean more to their own team than to any other team in the league. Doesn't mean they have more value just that if you want them, you pay. Alot.

Best comparable trade for manson would be the Muzzin trade a 1st probably Liljigren and then someone like Korshkov but again with the cap potentially staying flat for a number of year’s is it smart for the leafs to be dealing 1st round picks.

I don't think that's a good comparison. I think most if not all would agree Muzzin is better all around in everyway.

Yea but then factor in that manson has 3 years left where Muzzin had a year left that’s big right now any player with term right now has more value because of it.

Manson only and a year+1. This season isn't over yet, so it still shows on CapFriendly. But the deadline is over.

Year two years left on his deal we got Muzzin for a couole of games and an extra year.
