Leafs trade: A. Johnsson, Bracco, kerfoot and holl to devils for Damon severson And a 5th round pick.

Leafs trade: Kapanen, Gauthier, Liljegren, and a 2nd round pick to golden knights for Shea Theodore.

Leafs trade: Pierre Engvall and Travis dermott and Two 5th round picks to blue jackets for Josh Anderson. (27 goal scorer 2 years ago, anyone who says this is an overpay is uneducated).

I would not trade Dermott for Anderson, it’s not that it’s an overpay, it’s just way too much of a risk when you could probably get someone much better who doesn’t pose a great risk for about the same amount.

I only consider a select few players who are big in size, can play dirty yet score goals and make plays and that’s:

Josh Anderson
Tom Wilson
Zack kassian
Wayne simmonds
Foligno
Austin Watson
Ferlund

Why not target him? Local, and can score and has size and who things galchenyuk and Anderson wouldn't play unreal together? Throw in sniper and playmaker like barabanov and you easily have the best 3rd line in the NHL imo.

Paying that much for Josh Anderson is an overpay. How is it not? He had one good year then followed it up by being riddled with injuries and zero production. I'm not sure where the uneducated comment comes from unless your going to vote a comparable for the trade.

How good is severson really? I mean is he worth all that? It's not like defenceman are going for a lot right now and he isn't an elite one. I'm not even sure if he is a solid top 4 or not as his current team is so bad.

You didn't resign Clifford yet he's in the lineup? He playing for free?

I don't think either team does the deal for Theodore. Defenceman are going cheaper than ever right now. He isn't a Norris winner. A top 6 forward, good prospect and a 2nd seems excessive to me. Throwing in Bracco and goat really doesn't push the bar for either team.

I’ll say this Anderson is the type of player you want on your team he’s been solid so far in his career he had injury problems this year which are unfortunate but still a spark plug player. What I will say Dermott isn’t a good player to send back I’d say Johnsson with a small add might be a more suitable proposal one think that I have found with the leafs that I have liked is they have added bigger guys like Engvall Mikheyev etc guys that are skilled and have speed with their size but they lack the toughness.

I agree with leafs 1994 huge overpay for Anderson Johnson and pick is much more suitable as they both had good first years and injury’s. Keep Dermott one of the harder working defenders we have kid has a lot of heart and wants to bleed blue and white forever.

I like the Theodore trade, though I would like it a lot better if Liljegren was removed.

I know Theodore and Lehtonen can both play right side. But you only got one natural RHD (Holl) on the team. It doesn't make a difference in my mind, but in the eyes of some, it is a pretty big deal.

Guess everyone on site is uneducated except Eltzy. Because I think it's a massive overpay on the Anderson deal as well.

Amazing how after last year everyone on this site was in love with Anderson. Then this year rolled around. What a huge setback. I don't think anyone in the entire hockey world seen this one coming.

He is a good candidate to bounce back next season, as is Johnsson. I'd still trade Johnsson for Anderson. But not what is offered here.

I think Johnsson for Anderson is fair, both were injured and both could use a shake up imo. Plus the leafs would also save money and get a very good 4th line winger.

Yeah I’d say do it.
Good idea. I just think if we snagged Anderson and signed galchenyuk we would have an unreal amount of talent and grit in our roster with Clifford and Muzzin also.
