So this trade was supposed to be tabled at the deadline but never happened I think if the leafs can avoid giving up a 1st or 2nd it's worth it saves the leafs 2 mill in cap and we get a big dman him and Muzzin would be a good pairing

I would never, ever do this. Risto has the stats of Barrie. He's a bigger version of Jake Gardiner and Gardiner 2.0 Tyson Barrie. Don't want him unless he costs a 6th and they retain half.

I think I'm one of the few that likes ristos game. I think he could thrive with muzzin. But his contract is my biggest issue. If buffalo retained 50% I'd consider this.

I'm almost certain the trade will happen as well. Risto is a Dubas guy for sure. Horrible metrics across the board but can score and move the puck. Dubas wants 6 puck moving defenceman and 6 goal scorers.

Hope I'm wrong about Ristolainen and he turns into a stud on a better team but I'm not sold. Has to be better than Barrie though right.? Lol.

Ristolainen is about a foot and a half too tall and 50 pounds to heavy to be a guy Dubas would want.
