Please explain to me why new york and colorado would want to give up young contollable talented prospects for extra salary.

Its possible lou might if he has a soft spot for nylander but i still don't think he'd make this trade since the islanders are pressed close to the max cap

The colorado deal no way sakic agrees to that since dermott will cost close to 4 while byram is contolled at a low cost for 1st 3 years.

Neither trade is doable as they heavily favor the Leafs. Teams in the NHL don't do trades with Toronto just to make themselves worse and the Leafs better.
