Tor receives:parayko 50% retained bozak 50% retained

Stl: receives tor 2021 2nd kerfoot 50% retained dermott extended and 50% retained at 3 million 3 years.

Njd receives 2021 1st unprotected from both teams for retaining all the salary.

Both Tor and Stl could use cap space over the next 2 years. Blues can now resign their captain.

I am pretty sure I favoured the leafs here but it works for both teams. Dermott is an extra year, parayko is better. Kerfoot is better than bozak and a better contract.

A little outside the box Randy? Come on dude. You just smashed the box. Another team that would be good to do this with would be Ottawa, who had to pay old man Hainsey $3.5M for large part just so they could reach the cap floor. I can see that happening again.

But I can't see either team doing this. The 1st is a big price to pay for one thing, and St. Louis looks like they get the shaft here. I think they would rather run with what they have.

You know what man, that's an awesome idea lol. I'm not sure either team does this as it needs a bit of work on all sides but this is the most original 3 way trade I have ever seen. A team like Ottawa may do this. They get picks and retain salary. In 5 years with move spoke this the sens have an insane amount of talent.

I don't think parayko is as good as everyone says, not saying he's bad just not top 10 in the league or whatever. I also debated a trade along the lines of ( all 50% retained still)

Tor: reilly, kerfoot, bracco
Stl: parayko, bozak, Thomas
Njd same retention on the 4 main money makers in this deal, picks change to Toronto 2nd and johnsson stl 1st

You then have 5 million in possible raises for hyman and Andersen. The year after we have to extend sandin and parayko. So I think instead of extending Andersen we run a tandem of campbell and whoever we can get on a budget. That would then give us 10 million minus goalie to give sandin parayko and hyman raises and keep a decent offense and a decent defense. The year after bozak falls off the books. There are ways to squeeze by. In the expansion draft we lose either holl or dermott. Unless we make a deal to have them take somebody like engvall.

Never said third pair mph. But he also isn't a god among men as this site regularly portrays him. He regularly sits between top 25 and 45 in the league on defense. But not the top 10 this site puts his value at.

It doesn't matter if Parayko is top 10 D in league or not. St. Louis values him and will deal him as if he is top 10 in the league thus receiving an overpay for him. Simply put Parayko remains a Blue unless any team ponies up their top roster player or one heck of a draft and prospect package. Its the way it is

Marner or Nylander along with Sandin will be the ask. Dubas says no and counters with Kappy and a 2nd round pick. St. Louis GM says no with no counter and conversation ends.

Sorry leaf fans but Parayko is a no go. even more so if petro signs elsewhere.

This guy^ doesn't even read the whole post. Pietro is ranked higher, thus to keep Pietro they trade parayko. The whole premise to this concept.

Parayko is 2rhd on his team, that to me doesn't scream top 20 player. These rankings constantly shift. Did you find a tsn ranking from directly after the season was paused. Because that is where his value sits at this moment. Parayko in my eyes is a better jake muzzin. Solid defensive game, can put up points here and there. Muzzin typically had a higher vote for the Norris prior to being traded to Toronto. I just think everyones fascination with parayko is unwarranted I'm not saying he's a bad player I'm saying toronto isn't going to pull the next hall for Larsson trade to acquire him. Everyone on here saying parayko is worth so much wouldve been saying Edmonton has to add to land Larsson.

20 on tsn list is also probably distorted because they had just won a cup. I'm sure you can look at 15 other teams that you would rather have one of the other defenseman on their team than parayko and probably at least 10 have 2-3 of them that you would atleast take at the same value as parayko. None of us put professionals and all have our own opinions on things. I don't see any reason to call people out the way you do.

Do you want to just go back to kapanen and bracco for pesce? Or are you going to hash up it would be atleast nylander and leafs probably add a 2nd round pick.
