Chicago needs a goalie and with what Andersen has done with the leafs I think he would fit nicely Toronto goes a gets a younger guy who is a playoff performer and the leafs get a good pick

Andersen gets you a 1st and maybe a second as well.

Would rather Jarry over Murray but I guess so would Pittsburgh and Murray will likely be cheaper in the long run.

The only reason why I don’t know if you’d get a 1st for Andersen is cause of his age but depends how desperate Chicago is but they seem to be the only team in the league that has no goalie.

Andersen isn't worth a 1st as he will be an old, over paid UFA soon while the Pens would want at least a 1st and an A prospect to trade Murray. A lot of teams would be trying to pry him from the Pens.

I actually tend to agree with IslandJet here. Hate to admit it, but he's probably right. Looking at these deals, it looks like Leafs are paying less for Murray than they are recieving for Andersen. I don't see that as being the case.

Andersen is coming off a down year and is a pending UFA. Leafs traded a 1st to get him back when he was younger and controlled and performing better. I can't see them getting back what they paid for him now. I also suspect that Chicago might not want a goalie like Andersen. They traded Lehner. If they want or need a goalie, I expect they will go to free agency instead of trading picks that are valuable for a rebuilding team.

Freddy probably worth a late second maybe a third. He had a bad year and is aging.

You think $5M isn't enough Loxley? I'm kinda surprised by that. It wouldn't be a big raise, but he also didn't have a very good year. Between the virus and Murray having a bad season, he might have lost all negotiating leverage he once had.

I guess a lot of it will depend on how he does in the playoffs. If he carries his team deep again, or all the way again, he will be making big money. If his playoffs go as well as the regular season went for him, then he probably takes a short term lower paying deal and hope to cash in big at a later date.

Murray and Campbell would be a good tandem. I would be much more at ease with those two in net than the Andersen/ Hutchinson duo we started this year with.

The reason why i didn’t include something like a 1st is cause we are trading for his rights it doesn’t mean he’s going to want to sign here and Murray would not make a ton in salary the flat cap will factor into that I’m not sure if the hawks would make the deal but they don’t seem to have much faith in Crawford.
