Either we trade Reilly for Parayko. Both similar age and similar contracts but Parayko plays the style we need.
OR
We trade Nylander for Ekblad. Ekblad seems to have lost a step after his injury but he is a definite upgrade for us as he us just as Nylander would be for Florida who is dying for talent up front especially on the right.

Then again these could be terrible ideas but they worked great in NhL20

Reilly for Parayko been floated a few times. Mostly by LGM. It makes perfect sense so I get where your coming from.

Nylander for ekblad is an extremely popular one around here and I agree. It's a good trade.

The problem with Reilly for Parayko is that yes we get our number 1 RHD, but now we have a whole at LHD. Muzzin could maybe step in there for a year or two, but we would be really banking on Sandin being ready to fill that role in the next 2-3 years.

Due to rielly being 10 months younger on a cheaper contract with same term on it and putting up twice the points in 18-19 as parayko along with 20 goals and top 5 norris voting and getting 1 less point in 17 less games than parayko in 19-20 are 5 reasons why the blues would need to add. subject closed.

RC. Question for you. If the Blues Re-sign Piet, he will likely have a minimum NTC and maybe NMC. Blues will have Piet, Faulk, Parayko all on the right side and Scandella on the left. Which one of those 4 do you expose in the Seattle draft? Blues are most definitely losing one of them to Seattle.

So STL shows a major commitment to him by immediately giving him a 7 year extension with a full NTC for the first 5 years. just to expose him to the expansion draft in after the first year? Yea, that will attract players to sign there.
