TOR Trades Kerfoot, Holl, Engvall and 2nd pick to NYI Pulock, Nelson 20% retained and Bellows

Leaf's exploit Isles need to free up cap space by taking Nelson cap hit and land Pulock and Bellows. This allows NYI to sign Barzal and they can use Holl to fill that spot affordably.

Leafs send 6.75M in cap space to Isles
NYI sends 4.8M + likely 3.75M Pulock RFA contract.

Leaf's then trade Nylander to WIN for Roslovic, 1st rd pick. let's Jets replace some of the goals Laine provided so they can get rid of him and Leaf's get a cost control 2nd line winger and a 1st rd pick

Don't see this happening. They need to free up space to sign 3 guys. Pulock one of them.

Toews already got traded. Barzal and Pulock are the two left. According to cap friendly, they have $9M in space. They are going to be real tight. They will definitely have to dump more salary.

Pulock is probably going to get more than $3.75M. Corsica has him ranked 25th for his position. He is a top 50 defenseman in the NHL.

And besides all that, Leafs are already over the cap themselves. We already either have to make a trade or run a short roster. How are we going to pay for this?

6.75 million for 3 players isn’t something lou would do right now

Maybe Robertson Sandin and Liljegren could possibly get lou thinking but then leafs would be 7 million over cap with just 80% of Nelson alone. Then leafs would have 1.15 just to sign pulock and that’s Just to remain Allowable 10% over cap during off-season

Maybe those 3 mentioned for pulock is duable. Then lou has 9 million to get barzal. Very duable
