Chicago wouldn't dare to deal debrincat for nylander let alone adding Kane plus taking back some of his salary for this package would they?

So much for our farm team.

This would be an “all-in” move. Leafs would HAVE to win the cup in the next four years.

Because after that, it would necessitate a complete year down and rebuild again.

Sandin and Robertson are also both expected to make the team in some capacity as well. So I guess technically they aren’t even “farm team” players.

After those two, the rest our prospect players rank significantly lower in tier lists.

Amirov, Hallander, and Hollowell are probably the next best prospect players we have in the system. And I have serious doubts about at least two of those guys.

As for Amirov. He’s a wildcard. Exactly what he was said to be when drafted.

Boom or Bust.

I’ve never liked that description for hockey prospect players before. It implies no mushy middle.

And yet, how can anyone have the potential to be a star, but not have the same, or greater, potential to be a middle six player?
