That’s a good question

I think because getting Robertson in 2nd round after dealing that 1st in Muzzin deal he “thinks” he is an absolutely brilliant guy so won’t ever deal Robertson until it’s too late much like liljegren

He seems to be type of guy that won’t ever deal any of his decisions unless he absolutely steals the deal

He will trade any of his non draft picks and lower valued signings in a heartbeat.

When it comes to the big decisions he has had to make he will never admit fault thus never deal them no matter how much he knows he messed up. That’s where he needs to grow up.

While I can somewhat admire the obstinate. It is a sign of arrogance not to admit your own failings and wrong doings. The first step is acceptance. Once you have accepted your faults, only then can you correct them.

It is a display of extreme arrogance and immaturity both, for a man in position of power to think that he alone has the right answers. This man is exactly that: a man.

I think the reason Joyce was brought in was to be a counter balance to Dubas. Joyce was not given a title of Assistant GM. He has a job title description very similar to what Dubas has. Dubas didn’t hire him. Shanahan did.

By bringing in someone who can undermine Dubas’ decision making process, it doesn’t give Dubas the same control that he has had since becoming GM in May 2018. Shanahan can override Dubas in favour of Joyce.

Solipsism is a dangerous philosophy. It should only be practiced with the utmost of caution. And never by someone like Kyle Dubas.
