I like Engvall, not sure why you would just give him away.
Nylander, love him or hate him (which is obvious), would be a top line player on most every other team. He could learn a little from Galchenuk though, he is making me a believer, and an ex-hab to boot, I love it.

@Matthews, well put. Willy is a top 6 player for sure, he just may not be what we need on this team but could be a huge add on another team. I don't think we should need to add a 2nd. Nylander for Zacha and Wood with us saving about $2M in cap should be reasonable. Now you can also move Kerfoot and Zacha will be 3C.

No to dealing nylander now. Wait till offseason and 3.5 bonus is paid to him then for smaller market teams not in cap trouble get him 3 years for only 14.5 million bucks. That’s less than 5 a season for a 6-7 million dollar player.
Leafs would get more much more for him in offseason than dealing him to a non playoff bound team now. In offseason many teams that missed playoffs in previous season do a reset and become hopeful for the upcoming season with moves they made in offseason. Nylander is perfect for these teams then not now.
Playoff fringe or bound teams lacking scoring would want Willy now and would pay for him to get him now in a now and future type deal.
Keep him for this run because we all know when he is hot he can change a game.

All makes sense Craigger. Willy is slowing going back to little compete Willy though. It's too bad, I liked his game for about 3-5 games I think it was. Last two have been more the Willy that frustrates people.

Pierre Engvall is a waste of space on the ice. Pierre Engvall gives the puck up all of the time. He gives up the puck in his own zone, neutral zone as well as the o-zone. How he is still with the big club is beyond me. Pierre Engvall in my opinion flat out stinks the bag. I don't know who is worse? Engvall or Gauthier?
