Laughton is the physical grinder type guy everyone on here has been asking for and would fit well in the 3C spot only makes 2.3 so the leafs save money then use it for Merrill who I think would be the perfect 7th d he would give us the option to go with a bigger more shutdown pair with Merrill

Why would Philly want Kerfoot? They are trying to shed salaries. I doubt they are looking to add another 3.5M player. Make it a 2nd and 4th for Laughton and they probably bite, but then of course we don't have the cap space. The Detroit deal looks like fair value.

If we were looking at a trade with Phily we could add The Ghost to the deal. have Phily retain 50% on Laughton and run The Ghost through someone like Chicago to retain on him at 50%. not sure what they would want seeing as he has a couple more years on his contract.

Rfl Kerfoot is still a useful player that wouldn’t have to play center if philly is wanting to shed salary Kerfoot is an easy player to move.
