Landeskog would have to waive his NMC on the team friendly 8 year deal he just signed and Burakowsky is a pending UFA. Both players have played well for the AV's in the playoffs. I don't know how high the pick is or how good a prospect is that is being sent to the AV's, but I am told it is very realistic.

I can't imagine why the AV's would do it. What do you guys think?

I think the reason why he signed a team friendly was to get a NMC and that he will stay there.

In fact, I feel all players that sign a team friendly and get a NMC it's for that reason, aka Reilly.

Really interesting trade.

I think Sakic says no but not because of the players involved. This strikes me as a "Tavares signed for 11 so I want 11" situation.

Many on that team took a discount (small or big), to then pick up marner for 11/ year may not sure we'll.

Really solid prop though.

So I cleared up cap room for it, and have 78 mil used and 40 free for the season after, and me saying I can see why dubas did what he did means I mean it's entirely reality and going to be what I did in the game as reality. He conflated my point xD so he made this post, btw it could've been nylander and kerfoot for burkovsky and landeskog and landeskog makes 7.7/ and bura makes 3.7.

Wait, you bought out Rielly, got rid of spezza (best your ever getting as a 4th line centre with leadership qualities), Nylander makes less than Landeskog so I don't see why, I understand the defence because I now in sports games generally young players turn into gems 9/ 10 so Sandin is probably a monster.

Your using Quick, in 2024? Over Soup? Does quick use a cane to stand up in the crease at this point? Lol.

I think a big reason why Dubas ears criticism isn't what your getting from it though. Your team looks like Jim Benning put it together. You clearly can't win a cup with that team yet your trying to force one.

Tampa for it right (with some nonsense involved), AVS are probably better constructed if you just transplant Soup over there, many GM's have made good decisions besides Dubas.

Where I agree with you is that being a GM is not easy. It's a lot like being a politican in a way; everyone thinks they could do better than you given the chance.

What RLF is trying to say (correctly), is that video games don't represent real life. In a video game Rielly doesn't sign that contract, Spezza goes to the highest bidder, JFJ isn't pressures by ownership to never rebuild (heard that awhile ago, not sure how true it is), evander Kane is valued solely based on his stats, on and on and on. It doesn't simulate real life situations like the entire Islanders team getting CV, while on a massive roadtrip, then getting injured. You can't really compare the two in any meaningful way even if it is fun to play and try to do better than your team is currently doing.

But on the JFJ comment. i always like to try to defend him. i seem to remember when he first was hired wanting to do a rebuild and build a team properly. but wether it was the owners or the preassure of being The Leafs it did not go the way he wanted it to. i think he could have had a better rep had they allowed him to do what he really wanted to do.

To your comments one last time as you keep trying to make this about me. The fact you keep using xD, makes it hard to take you seriously if that is what you are after. At no point did you say the trade you made was in 2024. I was giving your trade a chance by posting it. I wouldn't have posted it had I known you are saying it is a trade 3 years from now. What would be the point of doing that.

As you have now mentioned, this trade is in 3 years. How can you know what is realistic 3 years from now? Because the game allowed it, is what you are using as proof.

Then how is Landeskog at $7.7? Why would it matter when he signed his deal since there are live updates? How could you play into the 2024 season when a move by a team in real life today could make what you did in the game now impossible?
As I said, the game is guessing/ simulating what it thinks will happen. Nothing conflated about that. I am not the one insisting it is all realistic.

I tried to give you the tip of not putting so much stock into a game, but you don't like that tip so you are arguing the validity of your game. Again, this isn't a video game chat platform.

Moving forward, I am not engaging in any more video game talk with you. You want to talk about the real life team, I am more than happy to read your thoughts. The leafs chat is on trade and what you would do as GM, whether you agree on that or not. It's proposing a trade and seeing people's thoughts on it. Only difference is you can do it in the game.

Landeskog is 7.7 because that's what I offered to get him, paying more and dealing a better younger player. He'd be silly not to accept.

Because it picks up from the expansion draft, which is how i kept McCann, you'd actually have to build from the past. Updating skills in the game isn't taken account from now considering it's innthebpast, but for the current season it does update the skill scratched players etc.
