Ana
Engvall $2.25M
Steeves AHL
Robertson LTIR

Tor
Comtois $2.037
Stolarz $.950M

Anaheim moves more toward the tank while picking up 2 prospects and an NHLer they can flip or try and re-sign as they still need some experienced players for next year.

Leafs pick up a physical LW that has had some success in the past complimenting quality players. They also get a cheap backup for Samsonov in Stolarz. Put Murray on LTIR and then assign him to the Marlies if healthy before the playoffs. Call him backup at the playoffs when roster expands and Cap doesn't count. The portion of his contract they can bury basically pays for Stolarz cap hit if he comes off LTIR.

Then 3 team trade

Tor
Erne $2.1M (Det)
2023 5th(their own back from Nash)

Det
2023 3rd(Nash)

Nash
Kerfoot $3.5M(Tor)

Toronto picks up another physical LW for the bottom 6 and gets their 5th round pick back.

Detroit picks up a 3rd for a pending UFA bottom 6er.

Nash gets Kerfoot who adds some speed etc to the lineup without losing anyone off their roster.

@RLF. dunno much about Erne so can't really comment.

I like the Ducks deal but don't know that sucks do it. Engvall for stolarz with Steeves as the bonus. so breaks down you Robertson for Comtois which I dunno if it's quite even. I am just so down on Robertson what with his size and constant injuries.

I had it figured as Engvall for Stolarz and Robertson and Steeves for Comtois. I thought that would be enough as Doskal likes like Gibson's partner moving forward.

@RLF. I guess I see Steeves as the bonus for them taking the larger cap hit on Engvall for Stolarz as both are ufa. which leaves Robertson who for me has way less value than a tough young proven nhl'er. I get Robertson might still have some potential as Leafs have not given him much of chance and how the c.v. interrupted a lot of young players careers but to me his small size and injury history really worries me. it's too bad cause he did show heart in the games he played.

Loxley. I don't think Robertson has lost as much value as some/ many do. Yes, there are question marks with his ability to stay healthy, but he is still only 21. Norris, Jack Hughes etc have all had injury issues. Not uncommon for smaller skilled guys to deal with injures when they are younger. Marner has been an exception as has some others. I think there would be concern with Robertson, but the skill he possesses would still be attractive to teams. Especially those teams looking for picks/ prospects. Of course that is just my own opinion.
