Idk if Vancouver does this just cause petterson is there 1c but two players that can put up points one scores more and one sets up more this would give the leaf a centre option for the second line

Dubas leaving is big problem. He has some right hand men he doesn’t make all these decisions by himself. Do you promote from within.

The LEAFS need tinkering so someone who had his hand on the pulse of the leafs the last 5 years is very important.

How was he being a cry baby the guy never got full control to build a team and mlse for some reason has decided they don’t wanna spend money if the don’t have to.

I’m ambivalent about Dubas leaving. My preference was to keep him but he over-played his hand and lost.

Depends on who his replacement is (duh) and how quickly it happens. This is important because of the short time to the important July1 date and the decisions that will be key to the draft and free agency as it relates to the core4.

A replacement will definitely break up the core4 to put their stamp on the future. This individual will also replace Keefe.

Going out on a limb, Tlusky will be the new GM and Gallant will be the new coach. Marner will be traded (along with Brodie) giving the Leafs significant cap space to play heavily in free agency.

Interesting times ahead.

The only problem being, the free agent class this year is particularly weak.
