I agree with you that Marner will not be traded
I like the Vilardi target
Tough to give up minten as well
Steeves Robertson Liljegren is my proposal
I don’t know if tanev signs for under 5.5
But he would make a nice pair with Morgan.

Really like Vilardi but his injury history, which goes all the way back into his juniors career would scare me off.

Players that have been chronically injured throughout their hockey career usually continue to experience said injuries!

Still missing offensive defenseman with big shot who can run power play. Like Vilardi but would take his and Carrier’s money and spend on Montour.

The more I read about Montour, the less I want him. He sounds like another Rielly with sheltered O-zone starts. We need defensive help and/ or someone who could play offensive as well as defense like Theodore.
If no Marner teade, then Theodore probably not an option, so possibly Carrier, who can play PP2 (he's not bad offensively IMO and can also play defense) .

I don't mind Montour at all, but not at his ask. Carrier is better than many may think. If you can get him at a good price, which is likely half what Montour may get, do it.
