Any trade for a Center of significance will cost Cowan or Minten and a 1st rd pick to start

My 3 targets are in no real order
1. Brock Nelson they retain 50 percent
Cowan or Minten 1st 2026 or 2027
Kampf for cap

2. Sean Monahan they retain 30 percent
Same package as above

Now a lower cost

3. Jack McBain
This would be the cheapest, and
is my favourite , Berube type crash and bang big with mean streak with some real offensive upside
I would trade cement hands zippydeedoodaa Robertson, Holmberg and that pint sized AHL Niemela or the other 2 bigger guys Webber or Chadwick
They can pick which dman they want

Ok have at it experts
I expect a waxing from Clarky and Hrenklin for sure

Nelson or Monahan would be nice additions but personally I am not in favor of giving up a top prospect and a 1st round pick for a 3rd line center who is 30+ year of age.

McBain is a great target but Utah seems to really like him too.
I think it would take Minten, Robertson and a 2nd or 3rd to convince Utah to seriously contemplate moving him.

I wouldn't pay that for Nelson or Monahan. Not a fan of either one.

Mcbain is brought up a lot by someone, can't remember who (lol) . I still like the target if Yotes are willing.

The leafs don’t need a top 6 centre jt has looked good and Matthews will be back the problem line is the third line it’s been an issue since oreilly left I think they can move some guys and maybe a pick to fill their needs.

Goat. Yes they do. JT isn't always going play at the current level for the entire season. Center depth is extremely important for doing well in the playoffs.

Yes jt will slow down from his current pace but he’s still one of the best face off men in the league and if they keep marner with him he’s gonna score I’d much rather go after a lesser name like the mcbains and laughtons of the world if it means we don’t have to move out better prospects.
