Leafs trade Knies
Ducks Mctavish
Knies has really climbed in a redraft in 2019 he was selected 57 granted because of the virus players hadn't played much and it was a different crop to gauge the talent.
It's a little scary with Knies that he could be offersheeted a huge amount of money.these are last offseason numbers but they are going to be close
Compensation $9.165 million to $11.452 million brings 2 first round pics 1 second round pick 1 third round pic that's the offer the Leafs won't be able to match
The Leafs are in a real tough spot with Knies
What do you think Leafs offer him. I can't remember Leafs having this much talent with size. Wendel Clark comes to mind but he was much smaller than knies 4 inches and 30 lbs and the physical play really cut short Clark's career
One can only imagine how good Knies will be when he hits 27 or 28 and he will put on another 15 lbs of muscle

No one is offering Knies over 9 million. He’s already a better player than McTavish. Hard pass. Get him signed on a bridge deal asap.

Right target in McTavish.
Wrong Leaf player in Knies.
Knies is already far more valuable than McTavish.
Knies: 46 games, 18g, 13a, 31pts, -1
McTavish: 40 games, 6g, 13a, 19pts, -7
Knies is currently playing LW, mostly on the first line.
McTavish is playing left wing, mostly on the Ducks second line.
If we are targeting McTavish as a 3rd line center might not Minten be just as good?
Minten might not have quite the offensive upside of McTavish had when drafted but already appears to be more advanced defensively.
