Marner and Cowen for Mcdavid and Brown or a 2nd pick. Marners 102 points and 2 way play is impossible to replace the leafs would need 2 even three players at under 15m for that production not to mention PK time that Marner is very effective at. I know it sounds crazy but we all know Mcdavid is a ufa after next year and Edmonton could have the same issues as we do. If not sign the irreplaceable Marner for whatever keeps him here because depth and cap will take the hit if he walks.

The difference between Marner’s and McDavid’s new contracts will only be a couple of million dollars per year.
