To Leafs: Rickard Rakell

To Penguins: Ben Danford, Nick Robertson and Max Domi (to balance the cap)

Leafs get a 35 goal, 35 assists, 70 point right wing for 3 years at $5 million per year.
Penguins get a young RHD, first round pick, captain of the Oshawa Generals plus a young LW in Robertson a favorite of Dubas, drafted by Dubas, who was finally starting to show signs of development this year after missing a lot of development time over multiple seasons with injury.

Rakell makes 5m, don't need to send Domi the other way, Domi just needs to stay LW and focus more on shooting the puck.

I never said he was hurt this year.

What Domi needs is another team.
He is terrible.
Offers next to nothing to the Leafs.
Domi is 30 years old and if he hasn’t learned how to play in the NHL by now he not suddenly going to change his stripes and start learning.
He is, at best, perfect cap filler.
Of course Leafs need to send back money if they are bringing in a $5 million dollar player.

Domi has been bouncing around between the top 3 lines for 2 years, only finding success when he was out in a position to be successful. 3.5m is exactly where his value is.
