Since we regularly see rather extreme, off the wall proposals on this sight I thought I would post one of my own for readers to blister me about.
I sent this one to a close friend who has been an avid/addicted Leaf fan for the past 50+ years.
He replied that "without a doubt I had lost my mind."
But since it is all in fun, here it goes.
To Leafs: Ryan Rust, 32, RW, 31 goals, 34 assists, 65 points, $5.125 x 3 years
Rickard Rakell, 33, RW, 35 goals, 35 assists, 70 points, $5 x 3 years
To Penguins: William Nylander, 29 years old, RW, 45 goals, 39 assists, 84 points, $11.5 x 7 years.
David Kampf, 30, Center, 5 goals, 8 assists, 13 points, $2 (Leafs retain $400,000)
Rather extreme ??
Knies - Matthews - Rakell
Maccelli - Tavares - Rust
McMann - Roy - Roslovic
Gadjovich - Laughton - Leason
Lorentz
Have fun with that one gentlemen!
At 76 years of age I have thick skin!!
PS: I started watching Hockey Night In Canada in 1957

If Willy is willing to waive, I’ll pack his bags for him.

It’s not horrible but I think you’d be wise to look at the fact that the players coming back are older and signed to less term how many more 30 goal seasons do rust and rackell have in them?

Not for me at this point.
We have all heard it said, the team that gets the best player wins the trade, so that’s why I’m taking this position.
Yes we are getting more goals and assists, at a cheaper cap, and yes Willy can be a frustration at times, as was Clarky’s latent point I believe.

It's a good prop. Not sure Willy would go to the dumpster that is Pittsburgh at the moment though.
